elitmus test pattern and overview of ph test :
Ph test syllabus is constituted by three parts: Quantitative aptitude, Verbal reasoning (English), and Logical reasoning.Ph test is an offline test divided into three sections of quantitative aptitude, verbal reasoning and logical reasoning each containing 20 questions. Total time allotted to solve all the three sections is 2 hours during which you can start from any section and switch in between the sections. Ph test is of CAT level, so start preparing hard as no section would be easy to attempt, but it is seen that if you attempt 8 to 10 questions out of 20 in section you can score a decent percentile of 90+.
Marking of elitmus test paper or ph test:
To analyze the accuracy of the candidate and reduce the chances of guesses in ph test a one of its kind method is used in elitmus test. No negative marking is made if one fourth or less number of questions of the total number of questions you attempted are wrong. If number of wrong questions increases above one fourth of the total of the total questions you attempted then negative marking starts from 25% and goes up to 50% depending on the number of questions attempted are wrong.Examples if your total numbers of attempted questions are 20 and 5 questions are wrong (1/4th of 20) then no negative marking is made but in same case if your 6 questions are wrong (more then 1/4th of 20) then negative marking of 25% is made and it goes up to negative 50% depending on number of wrong questions attempted.
